This is a very beautiful Antique pin/brooch.
It is solid sterling silver with a genuine black Onyx stone in the center.
It is stamped '925' on the back and there is also some other stamping on the back that I cannot make out - probably a maker's mark.
The brooch measures 2 1/8" wide and 1 5/8" long.
The pin works perfectly.
The setting around the black Onyx looks like little crescent moon shapes and each moon shape has four marcasite stones set into it. There are also marcasites in between each moon shape.
There are 60 marcasite stones in total - and none are missing!
This is a beautiful piece of jewelry and is wonderful quality.
It weighs 17 grams.
It is in excellent condition.
