This is a pair of original heels from the 1950's.
They are Genuine black leather.
Sturdy leather soles. The insoles are also leather.
Peep toe design with attached leather bows.
These are a slingback style with adjustable buckle.
The shoes are a VERY RARE 4 3/4 inch heel (just shy of 5 inches)
The insoles reading "Hi to the Sky Last".
These are made by C.H. Baker, California.
They have a handwritten size marking of 8 M (medium width)

The shoe measures 10 1/8" long from toe to heel inside. 3" wide across the ball of the foot.
These are made to last! Very well constructed and made of quality materials!
They have steel shanks inside the sole of the shoe. The shank prevents the heel from spreading out when you walk or stand.
In other words- underneath the arch of the foot- the shank remains rigid. Believe it or not- you can feel the sturdiness when you stand and walk. And the shoe - and heel- wear better.

The leather on the heels and shoe is in excellent condition. The shoes are sound and sturdy. They have their original heel taps and they are also in excellent condition. These look hardly worn!
