This is a gorgeous, large black glass cameo set in a very ornate brass finish metal frame. The cameo is all black glass, the background and the figure. A jeweler checked the piece to assure it was glass. I date this to somewhere around 1940's or 1950's. The cameo sets very high up off the base of its frame and is very 3-dimensional. This is quite a statement piece! The goldtone thick link chain was with the cameo but it is not original.

The cameo is approx 2 3/16 by 1 5/8 inch. The brass frame is 2 1/8 inches wide by just under 3 inches long. Chain is 20 inches long.

The cameo is in excellent condition. No chips or scratching. The brass frame shows minor wear from normal use. The chain is in excellent condition.

This is perfect to accompany a Victorian or Steampunk inspired ensemble. I can picture this with a black velvet blazer and black lace jabot.
