This is beautiful wall hanging molded from some sort of plaster with a fossilized stone finish. Signed by the artist on the back. It is representative of the Prytania - a genus of moth in the family Arctiidae. Heavy, solid piece with lots of detail. It has an Egyptian feel to it. There is a pair of wings at the top of the piece and a sitting woman along the bottom with a veil over her face. Measures 8 1/2" wide and 7 1/4" tall.
