Vintage Silver Moon Choker

This is incredible! I have never seen another necklace like this. I date it to the 1960's and it is possibley handmade. It is comprised of 17 silvertone crescent moons! I am assuming they are silvertone, since there is no marking for sterling silver. Although, they have a shine to the finish that reminds me of sterling. Most likely silvertone, though. Each moon charm is rounded to be slightly 3 dimensional and each measures 1 inch across. They are attached to each other at the points of the moon with silver jump rings. The way these were attached, to create this gorgeous design is just so beautiful. From the sides down to the end the drop measures 5 inches and it is 3 inches at the center drop. Attached to an adjustable silvertone chainlink that is a Chainmail link design. Meant to be worn like a choker. Will fit 12-19" around. This was likely handmade back in the 60's. It is in perfect condition! It would make a lovely gift for someone special to you.
